In 1945 William Bailey founded the Heirlooms of Tomorrow Pottery in Manhattan Beach, California where he created fine quality porcelain lace figurines. He moved the business to Torrance, California in the 1950's, operating a production pottery business under the name California Originals. William Bailey produced vases, ashtrays, lazy Susans, bowls, serving trays and TV lamps in bright colors, accenting the pieces with air brushed gold decoration. California Originals closed their doors in 1982.

Our large Mid-Century leaf serving dish was produced with the gloss pink paint which was so popular in the 1950's and still highly collected 60 years later.
