Hand Painted Moschendorf Salt and Pepper Shakers SOLD
Product Description And Additional Pictures
We are offering a set of lovely salt and pepper shakers which we believe were produced by the Moschendorf factory sometime between 1900 and 1930, based on the backstamps. These lovely shakers have a white background with heavy gilding on the bulbs -- or shaker-- portions of the pieces and a beautiful design of forget-me-nots, leaves and branches against a soft, rose-colored dawn sky. These shakers are signed by two different artists, 'D EAY' on the salt shaker, and 'JRIY' on the pepper. (The artist signatures are visible in picture #1 and #3 below.
These salt and pepper shakers are in perfect condition, with no gold wear, and no nicks, chips, cracks or other flaws that would detract from the beauty of these items. Measuring 3 7/8 inches in height and with a 1-1/2 inch square base, these lovely shakers would adorn a curio cabinet or would serve very functionally in your dining room!
