Vintage Porcelain Occupied Japan Dimensional Pheasant Vases Lattice Work Elaborate Handles
Product Description And Additional Pictures
This pair of Porcelain Occupied Japan Three Dimensional Pheasant Vases are rare beauties, but are typical of the superior craftmanship, artistry and aesthetic symmetry of Japanese porcelain. This spectacular set of Porcelain Occupied Japan Three Dimensional Pheasant Vases have vibrantly plumed pheasants roosting in blossoming cherry trees. Lattice work adorns the tops of the vases, and gold paint adds lavish detailing to the top of both vases, the elaborate handles and their bases. Having survived for nearly 60 years, these pieces were made between 1945 and 1952, during the seven years of occupation by Allied forces in Japan. Both Vintage Porcelain Occupied Japan Three Dimensional Pheasant Vases are marked Occupied Japan on their bottoms. The Vintage Porcelain Occupied Japan Three Dimensional Pheasant Vases measure 6" tall, 3" at their widest point and 1-3/4" across the mouths. They are in wonderful vintage condition, with no chips, nicks, cracks or blemishes on the exterior surfaces of the vases. One vase has a slight nick on the bottom of the vase, which is not noticeable unless inspected when flipped over. Additional pictures and larger images are available on Our Facebook Page.
