Pickard China Vintage American Porcelain Rose & Daisy AOG Candy Dish Mark 14 - 1930 to 1938
Product Description And Additional Pictures
We have a lovely AOG (All Over Gold) Pickard China vintage American porcelain candy dish in its popular etched Rose and Daisy pattern. We call it a candy dish - and not a compote - because the bowl of a candy dish tends to be deeper, while compotes typically have a shallower bowl. This vintage American porcelain piece has a deep bowl, therefore it is a candy dish! The back stamp on this piece (see our photographs) is Mark 14, which was used by Pickard China from 1930 to 1938. The bowl on this vintage American porcelain piece is quite lovely, shaped something like a tulip that has fully opened, but not yet lost any petals. The smooth pedestal falls away from the bowl and forms a scalloped blossom shape at the base. Standing 4-3/8" in height, this vintage American porcelain candy dish rests on a base that is 3-1/4" in diameter, and has a 4-1/2" diameter opening at the top of the bowl. It is in perfect condition, with no nicks, cracks, chips or crazing, and the gold itself is in pristine shape. This gorgeous vintage American porcelain piece has spent it years in a china cabinet or at the back of a cupboard, and it is in like-new condition, ready to join you in your home!
