It is hard to imagine that a tea set could be the most interesting piece in the room, but leave it to Roseville to produce a design so uniquely appealling as their Freesia pattern. With its vibrant tangerine brown color, exaggerated handle, and large freesia blossoms with long leaves in larger-than-life detailed relief, this tea set is remarkable.
Roseville introduced the Freesia pattern in 1945, producing a stunning line of wares in blue, green and tangerine (often called brown). All of the pieces are marked with the raised Roseville USA script and the shape number.
The beautiful Freesia tea pot is marked 6, and measures a large 7-1/2" tall and 11" wide.
The matching Freesia creamer is marked 6-C and measures 2-3/4" tall and 4-1/2" wide.
The accompanying Freesia sugar is marked 6-S and measures 2-1/2" tall and 5-1/8" wide.
Our Roseville Freesia tea set it in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.
We have taken several pictures of the tea set to show its incredible detail and artistry, and have provided many of them below. See additional images of this wonderful set on our Facebook page.
