This iconic tea pot was made in the 1940's by McCoy in its popular Pine Cone pattern which was finished with a green and brown glaze. This piece is surprisingly heavy, given its size, and is in excellent condition! There is crazing throughout the shiny glaze, but we think that this was a desired effect of the firing process. Aside from a few small, errant paint splatters that hit the pot prior to the final firing (see our picture No. 5), that the piece is pristine: it has no fleabites, cracks, discoloration, and very few of the 'pops' that are typical from the application of heavy glaze. The teapot measures 10 inches at its widest point; it is 6 1/2 inches tall and holds 4 cups of fluid. The bottom of the tea pot is embossed with the 'McCoy' mark on the bottom. We love this piece!
